QuizUp Trivia uses a mix of original questions and openly licensed data. This page lists the sources and the licenses that apply to them.
Open Trivia Database
Some questions come from the Open Trivia Database (OpenTDB), a free, user-contributed trivia question database. OpenTDB content is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-SA 4.0).
Questions from OpenTDB may have been adapted for QuizUp: answer choices can be reordered, wording can be edited for clarity, and questions are grouped into QuizUp topics. Adapted OpenTDB questions are shared under the same CC BY-SA 4.0 license.
Country data: mledoze/countries
The flag and capital city questions are generated from the mledoze/countries dataset. Contains information from mledoze/countries, which is made available here under the Open Database License (ODbL) v1.0.
Flag images: flag-icons
Flag images come from flag-icons, copyright (c) 2013 Panayiotis Lipiridis, released under the MIT License.
Original questions
All other trivia questions are original content written for QuizUp.

Names of films, series, games, books, sports leagues, artists and brands used as QuizUp topics are trademarks of their respective owners. QuizUp is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by them.
